Farmbird is coming to Ballston Exchange, in Northern Virginia next spring. This is the second location for the grilled chicken restaurant, offering fan-favorites such as Lemon Tzatziki plates with cauliflower rice, spicy chicken salad sandwiches, and Mac and Cheese with toasted breadcrumbs.
In observance of Earth Day, around 40 members of Jamestown's Atlanta office joined the Piedmont Park Conservancy for a morning of cleanup and beautification around Lake Clara Meer. This was Jamestown’s 7th year volunteering in honor of Earth Day, and the first time that Jamestown employees have volunteered at Piedmont Park. Jamestown volunteers helped with weeding, pruning, and trash pickup, as well as mulching and planting to help prevent erosion into the lake.
The Southern Restaurant for Racial Justice (SRRJ) Bake Sale was a key feature of this past weekend's edition of Ponce Goes Inside Out at Ponce City Market in Atlanta. Over 28 restaurants participated in the bake sale with their apple inspired baked goods. SRRJ partners with the LEE Initiative, with all proceeds and donations benefiting a pandemic emergency relief fund to support Black-owned restaurants in the South and raising awareness for racial justice in Atlanta.
